Ken Goodman has published a children's novel about his grandfather's family in Eastern Europe. The book focuses on Jewish families fleeing persecution in Eastern Europe in the early 1900s. His family lived in Vilnius and participated in the workers' resistance movement in Smorgon in 1905, which led to the decision to come to the United States. The story is told through the eyes of David, Ken's father, who was a child at that time.
Ken is doing a reading to celebrate the book's publication in Worlds of Words followed by a reading.
