JUS Alumn Receives MA from UCLA

12/14/2021 - 14:09
Congratulations to one of our amazing JUS Alumni, Amanda Bauer!

Amanda Bauer recently received her MA from the University of California Los Angeles in the department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures. Her MA thesis is titled, “A Preliminary Catalogue: Female Plaque Figurines in Late Bronze Canaan” (2021).

She completed her BA at the University of Arizona in 2017, with a dual-major in Anthropology and Judaic Studies. Her senior thesis focused on Israelite ethnogenesis, under the guidance of Prof. Beth Alpert Nakhai (part of the JUS department).

Amanda recently made Aliyah (immigrated to Israel) and now lives in Tel Aviv. She looks forward to continuing her academic career here in Israel!

Mazol tov!
