Prof. Gil Ribak received a 3-month residential fellowship (October-December 2024) from the Center for Advanced Study - Sofia (Bulgaria).

Prof. Gil Ribak, Ph.D., received a 3-month residential fellowship (October-December 2024) from the Center for Advanced Study - Sofia (Bulgaria). It will allow him to conduct research for his proposal, titled, “'Mothers Sell Their Little Children' : Imagining Blackness in Eastern European Yiddish Culture". He will present his findings during the fellowship and participate in the Center's fellow seminars, public lectures, and other academic and social events.

This is a highly selective fellowship that draws a large number of high-quality applications. CAS-Sofia is a “brain gain” institution, which serves to propel the standards of academic performance by fostering high-quality research and generation of new knowledge.
