The Shaol & Louis Pozez Memorial Lecture Series

Rabbi Michael Strassfeld will talk about his new, best-selling book, Judaism Disrupted: A Spiritual Manifesto for the 21st Century, 7 to 8 p.m., Nov. 30, 2023.

Rabbi Michael Strassfeld grew up in a modern Orthodox home and became involved in the Jewish counterculture of the 1960s. His Jewish journey led him to become a Reconstructionist rabbi at the age of 41 and to be a member of the faculty for the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. His latest book is premised on the notion that in these disruptive times, Judaism needs to be radically transformed even as it remains rooted in the tradition if it will successfully respond to the challenges of our times.
