About Naomi Tor

Naomi Present Tor is a Tucson native and an alumnus of the University of Arizona, where she received her B.A. in French and Italian Language and Literature. Naomi received her Master of Arts in Teaching Hebrew as a Second Language from Middlebury Language Schools at Middlebury College in Vermont. This well-recognized program provides active teachers of Hebrew with a combination of cultural immersion and superb pedagogical training. She grew up studying Hebrew and has traveled throughout Israel, where she lived while enrolled in a peace and social justice internship with the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS).

Prior to teaching Elementary Modern Hebrew at the U of A, Naomi was the Director of Education for Congregation Chaverim, a local synagogue, where she also had the opportunity to teach Hebrew and Judaic studies.  Naomi finds sharing her love of languages with her students and their enthusiasm for learning Hebrew truly rewarding.
