The TEC Center develops and implements a collaborative learning model utilizing advanced technologies for teachers and students from different ethnic groups and religions.  It seeks to promote constructive dialogue between diverse groups that leads to tolerance and mutual respect.

In this collaborative learning environment, small teams from diverse cultures use advanced internet technologies to progress gradually from on-line communication (written, oral, video) to face-to-face interactions.
The presentation will describe the results from and the implications of using technology in intercultural education.
Miri Shonfeld is head of TEC Center for Technology, Education and Cultural Diversity, The MOFET Institute, Tel Aviv, Israel.  She received her PhD in Computer Science.  Her current research focuses on information technology in service of multiculturalism.
