The Shaol Pozez Memorial Lectureship Series was created in 1996 by the Pozez families as a way to bring nationally recognized scholars to The University of Arizona and the Tucson community. What began as a small, monthly lecture series grew and expanded to include not only lectures but symposiums, concerts and multi-media presentations. In 2013, at the request of the family, the series was renamed The Shaol & Louis Pozez Memorial Lectureship series.
Both Shaol his wife Evie and their cousin Louis Pozez have passed away but thanks to their heirs the lecture series lives on.
