Kevin Coe is an Assistant Professor of Communication whose research and teaching focus is on the interaction of  American political discourse, news media, and public opinion. He is coauthor (with David Domke) of the award-winning book, The God Strategy: How Religion Became a Political Weapon in America (Oxford, 2010), which documents the increasingly partisan tenor of the religious rhetoric used in American politics. His work has included an examination of
religious rhetoric in the wake of 9/11/01.
