Kamilia Rahmouni is a Tunisian-born doctoral student whose research expertise is in Tunisian Jewry. Kamilia was awarded the Ron and Diane Weintraub Israel Study Award for her research at the library of the Alliance Israelite Universelle. Kamilia is a recipient of the Weintraub Israel Award that is associate with the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies.

A Hebrew Student's Tribute to the Victims of the Las Vegas Shooting

Student engagement in national and global crises is not unusual in the Modern Hebrew Language Program at The Arizona Center for Judaic Studies. Friends, I am so terribly pained to have to report some very sad news. One of our students, Jimmain B. Middleton, passed away on Monday October 2nd. Jimmain was a student in a few Judaic Studies classes, and his instructors and classmates all had only admiration for his dedication to his studies and his lovely, warm, and engaging spirit.
