Patrisia Gonzales, Ph.D, Assistant Professor in the Mexican  AmericanStudies Department and Affiliated Faculty in the American Indian Studies Program and the Native American Research and Training Center at the University of Arizona.

Patrisia Gonzales is the author of Red Medicine: Traditional Indigenous Rites of Birthing and Healing. As the graddaughter of Kickapoo Commanche and Macehual people who migrated throughout present-day United States and MExico, Dr. Gonzales specializes in Indigenous ways of knowing and Indigenous Medicine.
