JUS 303A is the first semester of a full year of advanced Modern Hebrew and is usually only offered in the fall semesters. It is designed to refine the students' comprehension and speaking skills with an emphasis on all facets of the language – comprehension, speech, reading and writing. Course objectives include increasing the students' vocabulary, conversational confidence, fluency and accuracy. Students must obtain a grade of "C" or higher in order to advance to the next level of Hebrew.
 

Course Syllabus

Course Prerequisites: 

Prerequisites are a grade of a "C" or higher in JUS 203b, qualification by successfully passing the Hebrew Credit by Exam test(s) OR permission from Anat Maimon, Coordinator of the Hebrew Program.

Course Description: 

Students will be expected to answer questions pertaining to a given text in writing, using correct grammar, spelling and syntax. Students will also be expected to compose essays using opening, body and conclusion paragraphs and conduct a complete advanced level conversation in Hebrew.
