Karen Seat, Associate Professor of Religious Studies, specializes in the history of American evangelicalism. With a grant from the University of Arizona’s Confluence Center for Creative Inquiry (2011-2012), Professor Seat has traveled the country interviewing politically active conservative evangelicals as they have been gearing up for the 2012 presidential election.
Professor Seat will discuss conservative evangelicals’ engagement with politics in American history, with a particular focus on the complex relationship they have had with Catholics and Mormons in building political alliances.
