Strangers in Many Lands

On February 24, 2016 at 4pm in the Vista Room at The University of Arizona Hillel Foundation, Dr. Leon Chameides will give his talk "Strangers in Many Lands", which is a Personal Experience of Survival as a Jewish Child in German Occupied Poland.  Join us for this powerful story.

Dr. Leon Chameides, Emeritus Director of Pediatric Cardiology at Connecticut Children's Hospital and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut Health Center was born in Poland. In addition to his academic and clinical pursuits, he has been active in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association. He chaired committees that developed guidelines and educational materials for pediatric and neonatal CPR as well as pediatric first aid that are today used in all US hospitals and many hospitals throughout the world. He has lectured widely both nationally and abroad and has received many institutional honors.
