The second iteration of Judaic Studies' Arizona in Israel Program was a great success!  Five students lived in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and the Jezreel Valley for jsut over a month.  THey took credit-bearing, fieldwork-oriented courses from UA/JUS faculty on the subjects of Jewish Civilization and Human Rights in Israel.  The students also participated in a special for-credit symposium on modern Israeli society held at the Jezreel Valley College.  Among other things, the participants experienced extracurricular educational tours to Nazareth and Haifa.  All of the students received generous awards from JUS, courtesy of the Center's fantastic supporters in the Tucson Jewish community.
