Volunteer for Jewish Family & Children's Services of Southern Arizona!
The programs at Jewish Family & Children's Services of Southern Arizona (JFCS) offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals or groups who seek to be of service to the community.
JFCS matches a volunteer's skills, interests, availability and passion to help carry out JFCS' mission of providing quality social and behavioral health services to help people meet their full potential by restoring well-being, cultivating self-sufficiency and strengthening family life.
Would you like to help JFCS provide support and enrich the lives of older adult Holocaust Survivors in Tucson community through social contact and companionship? Volunteer to become a Friendly Visitor to a Holocaust Survivor! You can meet with JFCS' Holocaust Survivor program clients in their homes, in assisted living facilities, or at a public location. Many have little or no family in town and would appreciate some company. Most speak English but some speak Russian only. If you have Russian language skills, this is a good opportunity to practice.
Our clients would love to chat with you! If you can commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week for at least one full semester, please contact:
