Religion, Rhetoric, and American Politics: Continuity and Change, 1933-2012
Kevin Coe, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Arizona.
Kevin Coe is an Assistant Professor of Communication whose research and teaching focus is on the interaction of American political discourse, news media, and public opinion. He is coauthor (with David Domke) of the award-winning book, The God Strategy: How Religion Became a Political Weapon in America (Oxford, 2010), which documents the increasingly partisan tenor of the religious rhetoric used in American politics. His work has included an examination of religious rhetoric in the wake of 9/11/01.
